Refined ceramic art inspired by everyday beauty.
Located in Kutsukake, Kyoto, Toukoubo Houki is a small traditional pottery studio run by ceramic artist Shoichi Houki and his wife, Yoko.
Yoko Houki’s work is beloved for its charming style and the care she pours into every handmade piece.

A modern sense of elegance,
with a nostalgic, timeless charm.
The floral pattern blooming across the surface is created using a traditional Japanese technique called Mishima, where designs are stamped into the clay before glazing.
Each flower is hand-colored with subtle tones, while delicate touches of gold bring out an understated brilliance and sophistication.
This handmade ceramic piece from Kyoto combines elegance and warmth, making it a beautiful companion for serving fruit, a light salad, or your favorite afternoon treat.
