Functional beauty meets refined craftsmanship.
Located in Kutsukake, Kyoto, Toukoubo Houki is a small, family-run kiln led by ceramic artist Shoichi Houki and his wife Yoko.
Yoko Houki's pottery pieces are celebrated for their charming aesthetics and meticulous handmade details, reflecting the traditional spirit of Kyoto ceramic art.

Modern elegance with a nostalgic touch
— a piece that feels both new and familiar.
The floral design covering the surface is created using a traditional Japanese ceramic technique known as Mishima, where patterns are pressed into the clay before glazing.
Each blossom is hand-painted with subtle colors, accented with delicate touches of gold to add a gentle, refined brilliance.
This handmade piece combines the grace of Kyoto pottery with a whimsical warmth, making it a delightful accent for your table—ideal for enjoying fruit, yogurt, or a cozy afternoon snack.
