Refined ceramic art that embodies the beauty of everyday use.
Toukoubo Houki is a small, family-run pottery studio located in Kutsukake, Kyoto. It is led by ceramic artist Shoichi Houki and his wife Yoko.
Yoko Houki’s works are known for their charming style and the care poured into every handmade piece—a fresh yet traditional take on Kyoto ceramics.

Modern elegance,
infused with nostalgic warmth.
The piece features floral patterns created using Mishima, a traditional Japanese technique where impressions are stamped into the clay before glazing.
Each blossom is delicately hand-painted and enhanced with touches of gold, adding a gentle shimmer to the surface.
The soft palette blends elegance and sweetness—making it a delightful piece of handmade Kyoto pottery to brighten your daily life.

Owner's Comment
This small dish is ideal for serving Japanese sweets, canelé, or other petite desserts.
Its soft pastel colors enhance the presentation of whatever you serve.
It also makes a wonderful and subtle gift—especially for those who love cats.
