Footed Pair Plates with Baby Elephant Design by Yukiko Asano | KOTOPOTTER

A Pair That Shares the Same Story

A matching pair of footed small plates, featuring a baby elephant and a tiny bird, drawn within the same gentle world.

Underglaze blue and overglaze colors are combined with raised slip (icchin) detailing, creating soft and expressive forms.

The storybook-like imagery quietly brings warmth and charm to the dining table.

Owner’s Comment

The atmosphere created when these two plates are placed side by side feels especially comfortable and balanced.

Even with the same motif, the hand-painted nature gives each piece its own individuality.

I find this pair easy to recommend as a subtle and thoughtful gift.
