Refined ceramic art that elevates daily moments.

Toukoubo Houki is a small traditional pottery studio located in Kutsukake, Kyoto, operated by ceramic artist Shoichi Houki and his wife, Yoko.

Yoko Houki’s handmade creations are known for their lovely charm and the thoughtful care put into each piece—a perfect reflection of traditional Japanese pottery.

Modern elegance

with a nostalgic touch of familiarity.

The plate’s surface is decorated with blooming floral patterns created using Mishima, a traditional Japanese ceramic technique in which designs are impressed into the clay before glazing.

Each flower is delicately hand-painted in soft tones, and highlighted with gentle touches of gold, adding a subtle, elegant sparkle.

This handmade ceramic plate from Kyoto blends quiet refinement with playful charm—perfect for adding a graceful accent to your table.
