Realistic yet endearing, these pieces bring charm to your table.
Takunobu Sawada runs his pottery studio in Nantan City, Kyoto, an area that preserves the beauty of traditional rural landscapes.
This series features animal illustrations that are both realistic and warm, crafted by Sawada himself.
Each piece is carefully shaped by hand, with a well-balanced form that is easy to use and finished in a milky white glaze that gives it the natural texture of traditional ceramics.

The animal illustrations are created not with a brush but by carving into the clay, giving each piece a unique texture and warmth.
Takunobu Sawada, the son of a Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-ware potter, has had a deep passion for ceramics since childhood. Now in his 30s, he has been practicing pottery for 20 years and has reached a high level of mastery.
With youthful creativity and refined technique, Sawada produces distinctive pottery that is full of originality. We invite you to bring his one-of-a-kind pieces into your home.
