Realistic Yet Charming, Take a Moment with Your Favorite Cup
Located in the scenic countryside of Nantan City, Kyoto, Takunobu Sawada’s workshop preserves the essence of Japan’s traditional landscapes.
This collection features hand-crafted pottery with realistic yet warm animal illustrations created by Sawada.
Each piece is carefully shaped by hand and finely trimmed to ensure both usability and aesthetic beauty, with a soft, milky white finish typical of ceramic.

The animal illustrations are not painted but instead are created by scraping away the white slip, giving each piece its own unique character and warmth.
Born into a family of Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware artisans, Sawada has had a deep interest in ceramics since childhood. With 20 years of experience, he has become a seasoned professional.
Combining youthful creativity with skilled craftsmanship, Sawada creates original Kyoto pottery that breathes new life into traditional designs. Don’t miss the opportunity to add his works to your collection.
