A Simple, Straightforward Form Without Excess Decoration
This cup features a straight cylindrical shape without a raised foot.
The smooth, uncurved form fits naturally and comfortably in the hand.
Rather than following the traditional yunomi silhouette, the design blends easily into modern interiors.
Without painted decoration, the cup highlights the natural character of the glaze itself.
Its clean presence allows it to be used comfortably in many everyday situations.

The Design Philosophy of QUTOTEN
This yunomi tea cup was created based on the design philosophy of QUTOTEN.
Like punctuation marks that create rhythm and breathing space in writing, the concept reflects a desire to introduce quiet pauses into everyday life.
The punctuation-inspired logo is carefully stamped on the bottom of the cup as a symbol of this idea.
Rather than relying on decorative elements, the design emphasizes form and function.
A handmade Japanese ceramic cup that blends naturally into both traditional and modern spaces.

Fired by a Traditional Kyoto Kiln
This piece is produced by Touan Kiln, located near Sennyu-ji Temple in Kyoto, Japan.
Founded in 1922, the kiln continues the traditional craftsmanship of Kyoto pottery and Kiyomizu-ware.
Fired at high temperatures, the ceramic cup is durable, resistant to staining, and suitable for everyday use.
Because the surface is free from painted decoration, it maintains its appearance beautifully even after years of use.

For Everyday Moments
Perfect for tea, but also enjoyable for hot water, coffee, or other warm drinks.
The simple, versatile form blends naturally into everyday dining and daily routines.
Using several together creates a relaxed and balanced table setting.
A practical handmade Kyoto pottery cup that also makes a thoughtful gift.
