Owner’s Comment

This matcha bowl by Hosen features colorful shippo (interlocking circle) motifs set against a soft white background.

The shippo pattern, formed by overlapping circles, has long been appreciated in Japan as an auspicious design symbolizing connection and harmony.

While vibrant in color, the overall impression remains calm and balanced, making it easy to incorporate throughout the year.

With its understated elegance, this Kyoto handmade ceramic matcha bowl works beautifully for daily tea as well as for welcoming guests.
