About the Artist
Housen Maeda
From the Andoku Kiln, trained by Yasunori Maeda.
Born in Kyoto in 1959 as the second son of ceramic artist Masanori Maeda.
Learned ceramics from his father and sculpture from Professor Kakuji Yamamoto of Kyoto City University of Arts.
Established his own kiln in Nishinoyama, Yamashina Ward, Kyoto in 1995 after training under Goun Maeda.
