Artist Biography

Andoku Kiln

Yasunori Maeda
Born in Kyoto City in 1959, the second son of potter Masanori Maeda.
Trained in pottery under his father and studied sculpture under Professor Kakuji Yamamoto, Honorary Professor at Kyoto City University of Arts.
In 1995, he became independent from his father’s Goun Kiln and founded Andoku Kiln in Nishinoyama, Yamashina, Kyoto.
