A Warm, Charming Moment with Mt. Fuji and Little Animals
From Studio Sakura in Seika Town, Kyoto, this handmade and hand-painted matcha bowl features Mt. Fuji and adorable animals. A lovely piece of traditional Japanese ceramic craftsmanship.
Placed on a table, it feels like a small scene capturing the four seasons of Japan.
Each bowl is shaped by hand by Mrs. Tomomi Ichida, an artisan with over 20 years of experience, and carefully painted to show the animals joyfully playing near Mt. Fuji.
A heart-warming design that brings a gentle smile when preparing matcha.
A comforting piece that quietly enriches your daily tea time.

A Gentle Scene of Mt. Fuji Surrounded by Seasonal Flowers
Up close, you’ll notice the charming detail of two animals sitting side by side, admiring Mt. Fuji framed by seasonal flowers.
The soft blue of the mountain, the colors of the blossoms, and the round silhouettes of the animals—
All are painted by hand, giving each piece a warm touch and subtle expression unique to handmade pottery.
Mrs. Ichida’s mother also supports the production process, and the gentle rhythm of their family craftsmanship can be felt in the soft and tender brushwork.
No two bowls are ever the same—each is truly one of a kind.

A Story Unfolding Around the Bowl
On the back of the bowl, you’ll find animals playing freely among seasonal flowers, offering a new little story as you rotate it.
Every angle reveals a different scene—
a design filled with the charm of a “bowl you can turn and enjoy.”
The light weight and gently rounded form make it pleasant to hold and ideal for daily use.
Because each piece is completely handmade and hand-painted, quantities are very limited—meeting one feels truly special.
A matcha bowl that brings a touch of storytelling to your everyday tea ritual.
