Special Edition Inspired by Kyoto Design

This decorative tatami mat, called “Jurakudai”, is created by the long-established Ota Tatami Shop in Kyoto’s Nishijin district and features an original KOTOPOTTER pattern.

Each piece is carefully handcrafted by skilled artisans. The combination of traditional craftsmanship and KOTOPOTTER’s modern design sensibility enhances the beauty of any Japanese pottery or handmade ceramic piece.

Luxurious Display Stand with Nishijin Brocade

The surface is made of durable washi paper that resists moisture and sunlight. The twisted paper fibers are resin-coated, offering both a soft texture and excellent durability.

The border is adorned with Nishijin brocade—a traditional Kyoto textile also used in kimono sashes. Woven with silk threads and gold and silver foil, this exquisite fabric shimmers beautifully under changing light.

The delicate patterns and refined luster gracefully highlight your favorite traditional ceramics, pottery, or ornaments—bringing a sense of Japanese elegance and refinement to your display.

The back is neatly finished with fusuma paper, reflecting the subtle attention to detail characteristic of Kyoto craftsmanship.

*Because each piece is cut from a single bolt of Nishijin fabric, the pattern placement varies slightly from one item to another.*
