The Colors and Three-Dimensionality Unique to Kochi Ware

The appeal of this work is, above all, its transparent and vivid colors.

The three-dimensional frames surrounding the patterns are meticulously raised by hand, one by one.

They are finished with elegance through skilled techniques and delicate handiwork.

Comment from the Owner

This matcha bowl features "Cherry Blossoms and Clouds" on a soft Hakuhou Kochi background.

The pale cherry blossoms and gentle beige cloud patterns are layered, creating a soft and elegant overall atmosphere. Clouds have long been cherished as auspicious patterns, adding a sense of gentle expansiveness to the vessel.

This bowl offers a spring-like vibrancy within a subdued color palette. The green of the matcha will appear beautifully, making it a perfect piece for a tranquil tea ceremony.

Absolutely exquisite! I know very little about Kyoto ceramics, and had initially eyed it for its aesthetics. Am beginning to learn the many difficult and complex elements it implemented. Honoured to own this piece by Ichinyo. Thank you Kotopotter.

I had been searching for a tea bowl featuring Fujin and Raijin (the gods of wind and thunder) to match my thunder-themed tea caddy.

I've always liked slip-trailing designs, but I really love the arrangement and composition of this tea bowl.

Thank you so much for this wonderful item.

この度はお買い求めいただきありがとうございました。
またの御利用を心よりお待ちしております。
