Located near Kansyuji Temple in Kyoto, Dainichi Kiln specializes in traditional Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware pottery.

The glaze series created by Yotaro Takemura features beautiful color gradients and textures, which are the hallmark of his pottery.

釉薬の重なり合うカップ底の色合いが写真と違うだろうと思っていましたが、思っている以上に美しいグラデーションを装っておりました。

外側は美しいと思いますが、内側の底部分の突然の変化は何をイメージしているのでしょうか？

藍、青、翠が混ざったような優しいグラデーションの取皿。ツルッとしたコーティングがされていますが、おもてはふちまわりの細かい線は触るとざらりとして陶器そのもの。うらも水滴模様をツルリですが、底から水滴まではざらりとして温かみを感じるました。市販品は全部がツルッとしていますからね。

手に取ると外側のポコっとした水滴のような模様が当たり温かみがあります。料理を食べ終えたら、中心からきらきら色のかけらの世界が現れます。陶器って素晴らしいと初めて感じました。
