Lantern Lights and Sakura Blossoms
The Essence of Japanese Aesthetics and Culture
This exquisite vase is crafted by master ceramicist Ichinyo Yamamoto, whose studio is located in Uji, Kyoto.
With over half a century of experience, Yamamoto creates stunning works that exemplify the artistry of Kyo and Kiyomizu pottery.

The vivid yet translucent colors are achieved using "Kōchi" glaze, a hallmark of Kyoto ceramics that imparts an unparalleled beauty.
The raised frame of the intricate patterns is meticulously hand-sculpted, highlighting the artisan's expertise and attention to detail.
Combining decades of refined technique with sophisticated design, this vase is a true masterpiece of Kyo ware.

Owner's Comment
This piece is a repurposed tea ceremony water jar (mizusashi) designed as a vase.
Inspired by the lanterns of Hina dolls, the design captures a delicate beauty, with intricate folds that replicate Japanese paper textures.
As a one-of-a-kind creation, this vase is highly recommended for housewarming gifts or as a special corporate present.
