Kenji Matsuoka of Heian Rakudo runs his quiet pottery studio in Yamashina, Kyoto.

Born into a long lineage of Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware artisans, he naturally embraced the art of pottery, creating pieces that effortlessly integrate into daily life.
