- Graduated from Kyoto Fushimi High School, Ceramic Arts Department (1955)
- Studied under Seiichi Oketani I, ceramic artist of the Nitten Exhibition
- Silver Prize, Kyoto Craft Exhibition
- Excellence Prize, Kyoto Applied Arts Exhibition
- Multiple awards at other Kyoto craft exhibitions
- Selected ten times for the Japan Traditional Kinki Region Exhibition
- Selected three times for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition
