About the Artist
Yūhō Wakita
- Born in Kyoto in 1949
- Graduated from Kyoto Prefectural Ceramic Training School in 1969
- Studied under master potter Ryotaro Kageyama
- Later trained under artist Reika Tanaka from 1977
- Established his own kiln in 1979 in Kasugano, Daigo, Kyoto
- Recipient of an award at the Kyoto Traditional Painting Exhibition in 1985
- Held solo exhibitions across Japan
