A Quiet Presence Rooted in Tradition

Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-ware matcha bowls are tea vessels refined through centuries of ceramic culture cultivated in Kyoto, Japan. Each bowl carries forward a traditional approach to pottery while remaining deeply connected to daily use.

The subtle variations created by hand and the way the bowl gradually conforms to your grip add depth to every moment of tea.

For Tea Ceremony and Everyday Matcha

Suitable for formal tea preparation, yet equally welcoming for preparing matcha at home.

Whether in use or simply displayed, it introduces a soft sense of Japanese atmosphere into your living space.

Owner’s Comment

This matcha bowl by Gasan features a crane motif accompanied by a small sculpted turtle ornament.

The traditional pairing of crane and turtle—symbols of longevity and good fortune in Japan—is expressed with a gentle touch. The three-dimensional turtle provides a subtle focal point and adds tactile enjoyment when holding the bowl.

Slightly celebratory in character, it is well suited for special occasions and seasonal milestones, while remaining approachable enough for everyday matcha moments.
