A Small Kiln Nurturing Handcrafted Beauty
Near Kanshuji Temple in Kyoto lies Dainichi Kiln, a family-run pottery studio.
Created by artist Yotaro Takemura together with his father Shigeo, their work carries on the tradition of Kiyomizu-yaki while blending seamlessly into modern life.
Each piece is carefully handmade using natural glazes in their quiet mountain workshop — a true expression of Japanese craftsmanship.

A Blue Gradient Like Sky and Ocean
The signature Hekiyu (blue glaze) series captures the shifting beauty of the sea and sky.
From deep navy to soft aqua, the glaze flows naturally, creating subtle gradations that change with light and angle. Each matcha bowl is completely unique — no two are ever the same.

A Special Moment for Tea Time
This matcha chawan brings a quiet sense of luxury to everyday life.
Its perfectly balanced shape sits naturally in the hand, while the mesmerizing glaze enhances the vibrant green of freshly whisked matcha.
Ideal for Japanese tea ceremonies, tea gatherings, or a moment of calm at home — each use offers a sense of peace and connection.

Presented in a Signed Wooden Box
Your chawan will be delivered in a wooden box, hand-signed by the artist.
Perfect as a collector’s item, or as a thoughtful gift for someone special.

This matcha bowl displays a breathtaking gradient — a true masterpiece.
The exterior shifts from deep ocean blue to soft sky tones, while the interior resembles gazing into a clear sea.
