This small cup is made by Imabashi Takako, the fourth-generation head of Takakogama, a famous Kyoto-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki kiln.

The appeal of these pottery wares is that they inherit the traditions of Kyoto while also fitting in with modern life.

The Shippo pattern refers to the seven treasures that appear in Buddhist scriptures (gold, silver, lapis lazuli, crystal, mantis shrimp, coral, and agate).

The cloisonne patterns are arranged three-dimensionally by hand one by one.
